Up until this session, the people I have photographed are those I know well, or have met a few times before their session. This instance was different, and certain to not be the only. It comes with the job, you put a website up, add some words for google to find you and ‘viola!’ you get new clients that you would not have ever met in life otherwise.
This family had come together, the parents and brothers and sister with husband and kids reuniting for the baptism of the baby. Vermilion was her husband’s home town and the baptism took place in his childhood church. Jenna had called on me for an impromptu, surprise photo session with her family, now all in one place.
I can tell you their family values being together. Her parents were soon to celebrate their 40th anniversary. I sat with them and asked Jenna’s beautiful mother what a marriage needed to go 40 years strong. Taking the time to set other priorities aside and be in the moment with those you love was just the perfect reason to have photos taken. Here’s a slideshow style gallery of my time spent capturing their moments of togetherness.
