Johnna and Willie’s wedding was nothing close to traditional. But nothing else would be appropriate for this creative, fun-loving, light-hearted couple.
The day started with the girl’s getting ready together and followed by a first look down by the water in Vermilion. And instead of heading to a church, our next stop was the Amherst Sandstone Village to take bridal party, bride and groom and family portraits. It was a perfect setting for their photos, with many options for colorful and textural backdrops.
It wasn’t until the middle of cocktail hour that the ceremony actually took place. Cork’s, a newer restaurant in Amherst, is elegantly casual with it’s charm and exposed brickwork. The staff was gracious and kind, and treated all of us like family. Food was amazing and since Cork’s is all about the wine, just like Johnna and Willie, the varietals were a plenty.
