On a quiet Saturday morning, way down in Doylestown, OH, two people so much in love wait with excitement and anticipation for the arrival of their baby girl. My friends, Stephanie and Paul, are going to be amazing parents. They are the kind of people that love and kindness fills the room when they are in it and this little girl is going to be abundantly blessed with these adoring parents and a huge amount of caring friends and family. This particular day was a busy one since right after their maternity portrait session they headed to their baby shower where they revealed the name of this sweet baby to all their guests – Josephine Michelle. Knowing Stephanie and Paul and how busy they are everyday, it was a true joy to take some time with them to slow down and capture the emotions of just how happy they are that their family is multiplying.
The smart and charming Danny is a member of the class of 2012. Since he wasn't on the blog back in the fall when the session took place, I just had to put his handsome face up now. Thanks Danny, Sharon and Dan!
She was trying to be shy, trying to act like she didn’t like the camera. It was a good act too, she had me, her mama and her nana working hard. But when this little girl opened up, she was the brightest little star in the room!
The neat thing about my friendship with Becky is that we go way back to 5 years old. So now that I’ve photographed her family I want to go digging for that picture of us from our kindergarten days. It was a short notice shoot and it was really simple. This was also a challenge working with multiple lighting sources so the best photos in my opinion are the black and whites. Otherwise there’s different temperatures all over the photo. Any photographers are welcome to give me tips on lighting a living room for a portrait.
