Is it just me or does anyone else feel like keeping the decorations simple this year? The more I take out the more I’ll have to put away. Not only that but we live in one those houses when the Christmas decor comes out, something has to be moved to give way. And frankly this year I just don’t have the motivation. We’re not going bare bones here, there’s still icey garland and Christmas cards hanging from the doorway in the kitchen and a live Christmas tree in the living room. He’s a good tree too, I’m happy we picked the Scotch Pine instead of the usual Frasier Fir. My favorite decoration is in the kitchen though. It’s simply the branches that fell off the tree when we first brought it home, stuffed in the Celtic mug of Jason’s which was a dad’s day gift and a few glittery plastic bulbs. The shamrocks beside the mug are stretching for the morning sun shining through the window. It was such a cheery scene, can you blame me for grabbing the camera?
